Trump or Biden: Breaking down the ideas of each President

Americans aren't thrilled with Biden or Trump but a third party isn't resonating : NPR

Reality has felt so surreal the past few years within America; a global pandemic, a TV star as president, riots at the Capitol, etc. The truth is the election of 2024 could bring us much more pandemonium in this country as tensions between political candidates rise.

On December 19th, 2023 Donald Trump was removed from the 2024 Presidential election ballot by the Colorado Supreme Court as he was declared ineligible to run under the U.S. Constitution insurrection clause. The court decision was 4-3, whose justices were selected by Colorado’s Democratic governors. No President prior has been disqualified under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

Trump is currently opposing this ruling with his attorneys and they promised to appeal to the nations highest court, which will eventually determine if he is eligible to run. He proved ineligible to run, and was disqualified off the ballot. On February 8th, a Supreme Court ruling will be held to determine the outcome.

The entirety of Trump’s and Biden’s ideas don’t always differentiate, but rather their supporters. This is a list we put together to help you learn the general ideas and policies of Donald J. Trump and Joseph Biden.

The policy differences between Joe Biden and Donald Trump during their presidencies reflect diverse approaches to key issues shaping the United States. Joe Biden’s administration has prioritized addressing climate change, strengthening healthcare through the Affordable Care Act, pursuing a more inclusive immigration policy, and reengaging with the international community through multilateral diplomacy. On the other hand, Donald Trump’s presidency was marked by a focus on deregulation, skepticism towards climate change initiatives, attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, a strict stance on immigration enforcement, and an “America First” approach to foreign policy.

Understanding the dynamics of political polarization is essential for policymakers, analysts, and citizens alike. By examining how these factors intersect with broader societal trends, we can gain insights into potential outcomes and work towards fostering more constructive dialogue across lines. As the political landscape continues to evolve, it remains essential to monitor developments and assess the impact of these policies on the nation’s well-being, both domestically and on the global stage. Public discourse and engagement play a crucial role in shaping the trajectory of policy decisions and their long-term consequences for the United States.
